This staff-shaped mace is a simple weapon. It may lack a certain degree of elegance, but its massive solidity more than makes up for that. And it is very easy to use: A solid steel bar with a wood and leather grip. Pick it up and start landing blows. When this medieval Italian mace gets going, neither sword nor armor nor bones are safe. Form follows function in this case: it destroys everything it comes into contact with. This mace is nothing less than the advanced development of the club and was used by hosts of foot soldiers and fighting farmers throughout Europe. Our special model is based on a mace found during excavations on the Thames River. It features a two handed grip made of wood wrapped with a double layer of leather and a pommel to balance out the weight of the crossed steel plates.
