This robust round shield is hand forged from 16 gauge steel with an blackened finish. The riveted heavy-duty shield boss in the centre is constructed from thick 12 gauge steel and gives 100% hand protection. The smith’s hammer blows to the shield give it an intentional dimple pattern exterior and the shield was further embellished with slashed edging.
This solidly constructed shield has a centre grip of thick steel that has been stoutly riveted onto the shield. Two halves of hardwood complete the grip. A solidly constructed defence, this shield will stand up to considerable use.
