The Celtic Sword
The Celts were great warriors: in 390 BCE they crushed the army of the Roman Republic and sacked Rome itself. They were known as swordsmen, heavy infantry who repeatedly charged their enemies. Most fought on foot with little armour other than a helmet and shield. The Celts are famed for their decorative and metalworking skills.

These swords are meticulously hand crafted. The tangs are actual full tangs, not the typical rat tail that are found in most decorative swords. Steel guard and pommel with a leather over oak wire wrapped grip. The high quality blades are hand forged using EN45 Spring steel to make the blade non brittle and give it a spring like quality that will not warp.

We hand sharpen all our swords to ensure the temper of the blade is not compromised and use a course stone to achieve the angle and a fine stone to finish the cutting edge.
