This classic design single handed sword dates back from the early 14th century, it has simple lines, yet its beauty and balance, along with the diamond-section blade and cruciform hilt, made it a surprisingly easy sword to handle.
Crafted in much the same way as swords were made centuries ago, except that the blades are now forged from high-carbon spring steel, a resource unavailable off-the-shelf to the smiths of the old. The blade has a light polished finish which is closely replicating what the medieval swordsmith was able to achieve. The hand crafted high carbon steel blade is tempard for strength and has a full tang which is cup peened riveted over the pommel. The fittings are polished steel and all of these swords have leather scabbards. These swords will appeal to both the re-enactor, and the collector who wants a sword with the same appearance as the originals.
The sword comes with a dull edge but can be sharpened in our workshop for a cost of £30-
