The Shield is part of the Exclusive Collection 'Historic Shields' from Marto.
Ideal for collector's, this is an excellent wall display piece which can also be adapted for theatrical and TV use.
Exquisitely handcrafted in stainless steel with a polished finish. At the shields centre is a golden relief of the 11th century Spanish Hero of the Reconquista, Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, known as El Cid Campeador-Spanish for Champion. It depicts the hero knight riding on his steed in full armour. El Cid was a great war hero, a superior and extremely successful soldier of fortune, who apparently never lost a battle, and became noted for his heroism with his King, Alphonse VI, in the conquest of Toledo.
The triangular shield, known as a kite shield, is double reinforced steel with triple reinforced corners. Beautifully embellished detailing of riveted Golden fittings frame a natural steel finish and adds to the stunning contrast which make this shield so stunning.
