Details

This classic, historically inspired axe promises to be a popular and welcome addition to our already hugely successful line of Tomahawks and Axes.

A design collaboration between Lynn C Thompson, Dave Baker and Rich McDonald, the Viking Hand Axe brings together a stout 30" American Ash handle, an extra broad, sharp cutting edge, a hooking "beard", and up-swept thrusting "horn" to make a formidable axe that would be the pride of any Viking’s collection!

    Functional tool that looks cool.

A useable axe at a more than affordable price. Don't let "TAIWAN" on the axe head spoil the magic for you (just sand that bit off). It looks the part, and in the few tests I've done in the backyard its split firewood and sliced water bottles no problem. Get the sharpener for practicality and the sheath for safety.

Really good value for a well made bearded axe with the usual Cold steel qulity and performance.

    Bearded axe
    Review by Franco
This is my first battle axe and my fourth cold steel purchase. This has the brand's usual solid and reliable build, but actually feels nicer in the hand than a couple of their swords.
In cutting practice this has diced water bottles nearly as effectually as a few of my swords.
A cracking little, usable, good looking, and best off very cheap, axe. Top notch
