The Hickok Revolver (Now Discontinued and available nowhere)!

Not to be confused with the cheaper COLT NAVY ENGRAVED VERSION 1040B. Check Ivory Handle Differences.

I bought this item 12(ish) years ago and have kept it in my loft ever since, every once in a while I would have a look and a hold but other than that it’s like the day it was bought.

Image 4 shows one of the small placeholder pieces of metal missing from the bullet hole. It was delivered to me 12 years ago like this and I’ve never attempted to do anything about it, a minor glue job would solve this no problem.

Replica Deluxe CA Classics Gun 1851 Civil War Colt Navy Revolver Prop Gun

ENGRAVED POLISHED NICKEL FINISH WITH SIMULATED IVORY GRIPS

The engraved Colt Navy revolver was a presentation piece given to high ranking military officers and government officials and was based on the military-issue 1851 Navy revolver, which saw service through the end of the Civil War. This non-firing version provides a dramatic illustration of the talents of the factory engravers of the period.

The designation "Colt 1851 Navy" was applied by collectors, though the popular name "Navy Revolver" is of early origin, as the gun was frequently called the "Colt Revolving Belt Pistol of Naval Caliber."

Famous "Navy" users included Wild Bill Hickok, Richard Francis Burton, and Robert E. Lee. Usage continued long after more modern cartridge revolvers were introduced in 1873Introduced in 1851, this cap and ball revolver was the pistol of choice during the Civil War and Expansion of the West. Even after the introduction of modern cartridge revolvers, the M1851 remained a staple in the gunfighter's arsenal. Its 7.5" octagonal barrel and strong frame made for a reliable, handsome sidearm.

This CA Classics M1851 Navy Revolver has historically accurate details, working action, faux ivory grips and an exquisite polished gold and nickel finish. The cylinder of this revolver is engraved with a scene of the victory of the Second Texas Navy at the Battle of Campeche, while the frame features elegant scroll work.
