Like most of the big cities of the Renaissance, Munich Germany had a town watch. The watchmen enforced the law to some extent, but were primarily a well-armed troop of well-to-do citizens out to guard their interests. Our Munich Town Watch dagger is a parrying dagger for the left hand and is meant to be used together with our Munich Town Watch rapier (sold separately).
Thanks to its size, it can be used as a secondary offensive weapon and not for parrying only. Two fullers, each with holes in four places, run the entire length of the ricasso. This ornamental device makes the Munich Town Watch dagger exciting and a bit lighter at the same time. The grip is very ergonomic. It is made of wood elaborately wrapped with steel wire and has decorative braided wire at both ends. A riveted pommel shaped like a flattened ball completes the hilt of our Munich Town Watch dagger. It comes with a matching scabbard made of leather.
