This replica is not bad if only used as a visual decoration. Up close its a bit disappointing- little more than a toy The casting is not great (though other reviewers have suggested that Denix products are a lot better than they used to be). The "brass", frame has been made in two pieces with a huge gap under the hammer which is very disappointing, and the wood grips are somewhat loose. The whole piece has a floppy feel to it and of course can't be disassembled which is another disappointment. I think that if I want a "real" replica I will wait until I can afford Uberti products.

As a supplier, Southern Sword couldn't have been better; - perhaps they could stock Uberti ?
