A rough out leather garment uses the rough inside of the cowhide instead of the smoother outside as the right side. Our black rough out jerkin has a very masculine cut – which emphasizes strong, wide shoulders – modeled on the doublets of the late 16th and 17th centuries. Instead of the typical buttons, this jerkin fastens with very decorative, black frog closures.
