The War Sword.
Referred to as swerdes of werre or grete war swords, larger sized knightly swords seemed to have been developed in Germany and there are frequent references to their use by medieval French chroniclers writing about knights employing the use of "big German sword".
Essentially hand and half variants of the more usual cruciform hilted single handed sword these great war swords are most probably the result of the need for a more powerful weapon to combat improvements in the armours being wore at the time.
The longer grip of the war sword facilitated a double handed cut landing a ferocious blow that greatly improved the chances of injuring an armoured opponent on the battlefield, however the sword was still light enough to, and most often was, used in one hand.

These swords are meticulously hand crafted. The tangs are actual full tangs, not the typical rat tail that are found in most decorative swords. The high quality blades are hand forged using EN45 Spring steel to make the blade non brittle and give it a spring like quality that will not warp.
Price QualityTjWas amazed with the high standard of the sword with the blade sharpened. Has a good weight was just right pommel length for my hands and ideal as a low priced ready to use sword. Highly recommend anyone who is looking for a good price and excellent quality of sword... then this is the one to choose! 10/10 A+++ Overall service and product.
Price QualityLewThe quality of the blade, the tang, and the pommel/guard is 10/10, even moreso for this price. However the sword is a bit heavier than anticipated, but that's due to the large pommel and handguard. Honestly wasn't expecting a battle ready sword for this price, but I'd definitely not think twice about heavy cutting once I actually held it.
Price QualityDarioNice item for this price! Reccomend
Price QualityFlintlockVery heavy. Unusable with one hand, so the description is wrong. Pommel came loose first time swinging it, but just needed tightening. However, the blade is nearly indestructible, a very good 'beater' sword. Had to wrap handle, the grip is only an inch thick so combined with 2.2 kilos of weight was very hard to handle. Hard to say if i would recommend, possibly only if you want a sword and have a very low budget. Couldnt get better at that price.
