Details

This high quality replica of a traditional Wakizashi Samurai sword is ideal for stage and costume as well as being durable and strong enough for full contact training. There is detailed patterning along the blade as well as around the hand guard and pommel, that gives this item an amazingly realistic look and feel.

Our Deluxe Costume Trainers are made from an extremely high grade, injected moulded ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) that closely duplicates the real weapon in length, size, weight and feel and are finished in a highly detailed, realistic bronze and polished steel effect. This makes the Deluxe Costume Trainers not only suitable for Martial Arts and Self Defence Training but perfect for Stage, Costume or T.V and Film

As well as being more aesthetically correct our synthetic training weapons will not rot, crack, chip or splinter like their traditional wooden counterpart.

We have worked closely with the manufacturers to ensure our range of training weapons are suitable for Martial Arts, Self Defence Training as well as Stage and Costume, TV and Theatre. While they are not as rigid as wood, they have the winning advantages of being virtually unbreakable, remarkably solid and cut resistant.

Not bad for the money and very sturdy!
    Review by Dan
I bought this for my nephew who really wants a samurai sword, but is a little too young to have a real one. I was a little dubious to start with about the quality that was achievable from a plastic sword, but it certainly feels durable and the finish quality is excellent. The metallic coating on the blade has both smooth and textured surfaces - I think the overall effect would be more realistic with just the smooth surface but it does look nice. The Guard and pommel are a nice antique brass type effect and set the sword off nicely.

This is by no means a "toy" sword, but for anyone looking for a stage prop or something to practice live combat, I shouldn't think you'd go far wrong with this. From a distance and in photographs you can easily be fooled into believing this is the real deal.
